Mark V. Pettinga, JD, CFP
Education:
A native of Indiana, Mark earned his undergraduate Business and graduate Law degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington. Course concentrations included accounting as well as tax and estate planning.
Mark also holds the Certified Financial Planner certificate, which signifies his expertise in all areas of financial counseling.
Experience:
Mark began his career in the personal trust and asset management group of Bank One, Indianapolis. As an attorney trust officer, he was responsible for the management and investment portfolios of large trusts and estates. He continued his career with Ernst and Young, a large international accounting firm, developing expertise in executive compensation planning (including stock option and retirement plan distribution planning,) risk management assessment, estate and gift tax planning (including the transfer of closely held businesses,) and general portfolio allocation.
Prior to forming Pettinga Financial Advisors, Mark served as a Director for Oxford Financial Advisors, a full-service, Indianapolis-based, Registered Investment Advisor.
